Archbishop of Canterbury to visit the Rwanda on 18th February 2017
The secretariat of the Province of the Anglican church of Rwanda is glad to inform all members of the Anglican Church of Rwanda and the general public that the Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Rev. and Rt. Honorable Justin Welby will be visiting Rwanda officially, from February 18 – 21, 2017.
Archbishop Justin will arrive in Rwanda on Saturday 18th February 2017. During his this planned visit, Archbishop Justin will join Rwandan Christians for Sunday worship service at Kibagabaga Parish 19th February 2017. He is also expected to lay a foundation stone at the East African Revival Heritage Center at Gahini historical hill, in Diocese.
Archbishop Justin will also visit Kigali Anglican Theological College where he will give a word of encouragement to the Collage administration, the staff and the students.
The East African Revival Heritage Center is located on Gahini hill which is the first established Mission Center of the Anglican Church of Rwanda. The Center has several sites of great importance in the life and history of the East African Revival. The sites include the wall of Miracles, the Fellowship House on which the foundation stone will be laid, the Covenant House, the New Cathedral under construction, and the office block.
The imminent visit of Archbishop Justin Welby will be the third to Rwanda since he assumed office, but the first official visit to Rwanda.
Archbishop Justin will leave the Country on Tuesday 21st February 2017.
