presThe ceremonies of Golden Jubilee of   Mothers Union in Rwanda will take place on Sunday July 31st 2016. They will start with Sunday service at Kibagabaga Parish, EAR Gasabo Diocese at 7:00 AM. The ceremonies will gather around 3000 people, from different places, the majority of whom (around 2500) will be women. Different Church leaders from the Anglican Church (Archbishop, Bishops, Archdeacons and pastors)   will attend the celebration.  Some  guests from Rwanda and abroad are expected to attend event.  At this occasion, we will be honored to host Mothers Union Worldwide President.
 The Golden Jubilee of Mothers Union has two major objectives which are firstly celebrate the achievements of Mothers Union   in the last fifty years and secondly to share Mothers   Union   priorities stakeholders. It is important to note that guided by the following specific objectives: To uphold Christ’s teaching on the nature of marriage and to promote its wider understanding;  encourage parents to bring up their children in the faith and life of the church;  maintain a worldwide fellowship of Christians united in prayer, worship and service;  promote conditions in society favorable to stable family life and the protection of children; help those whose family life has met with adversity, Mothers Union  is involved in  different activities in Church and community to promote the wellbeing of families  in  Rwanda. Among those activities  include   promoting spiritual growth and marriage, mobilizing parents for parenting, addressing Gender- Based Violence, promoting economic development and food security  in families, sensitizing about  hygiene and sanitation, contributing in education  and  helping families in adversity and contributing in resolving all kinds of family conflicts.
